EAD Data Operations
THE EUROCONTROL EUROPEAN AIS DATABASE (EAD) PROGRAMME
With the aim of improving and harmonising the procedures and delivery of the aeronautical data in Europe, EUROCONTROL member states have decided to establish one central European AIS database. This centralised database will provide clients with validated dynamic and static aeronautical data.
The objective is the delivery of high-quality aeronautical information to the European aviation community and the national air traffic services providers. The EAD will contribute to the Agency's major Strategic Objectives and, in particular, to safety, economics, uniformity and quality.
The European Aeronautical Information Services (AIS) Database (EAD):
- Operates a reference database of quality-assured aeronautical information from the ECAC Area and World-wide;
- provides a full integrated AIS solution for providers and users of aeronautical information;
- gives immediate access to digital Aeronautical Information.
The EAD is owned by EUROCONTROL on behalf of its Member States. GroupEAD Europe S.L. is operating the EAD on behalf of EUROCONTROL.
